RANGE
RULES
1)
All present
will abide by instructions given by the LCO and RSO. They are interested in the safety of every
one present. Failure to obey
instructions is cause for immediate expulsion.
2)
Per NAR
(National Association of Rocketry), NO uncertified or, decertified motors are
to be flown at a
3)
Do not
recover any rocket that has landed in the launch area until the "all
clear" has been given by the LCO.
4)
Spectators
are to remain behind the LCO area at all times.
5)
Young
children are welcome but, we need them to be with an adult at all times. We have had cases of children wondering into
an active launch area and do not want to see anyone get injured.
6)
Pay attention
to the LCO and STAND when a HEADS UP flight is announced.
7)
FAA waivers
are in effect. It is the flyers
responsibility to provide accurate flight information to the RSO which
demonstrates that the flight will remain under the launch waiver in
effect. PARA is limiting altitude to
3000 AGL. This is subject to change.
Please report flights expected to reach 2500 or higher to the RSO during the
inspection. Our waiver allows flights
substantially greater than 3000 but, we are very limited in the size rocket
that can exceed 3000. This is due to
Safety Concerns and NARs High Power Rules.
8)
Only
biodegradable wadding is allowed, no fiberglass, etc.
9)
All adult
flyers must assist with range duties. Your help is needed. RSOs
& LCOs must be NAR members and certified at or
above the level of the rockets being launched.
10)
You can only
fly up to the NAR or
11)
All rockets
MUST be checked by the RSO before going to the flight line.
12)
All rockets
10 lbs and heavier must have dual recovery systems.
13)
No igniters
are to be installed prior to passing an RSO inspection. Igniters may be installed at the pads.
14)
Radio Control
transmitters: Anyone who will be using any RC gear in connection with their
flight should check in with the RSO before the days flying begins. RC transmitters will be "impounded"
before and after their use so that no one will be playing with a transmitter
that might be on the same frequency as someone else's causing an unexpected
result.
15)
Double check
all rocket construction. Be sure a
recovery system is included in all rockets (i.e., parachute, tether lines,
etc.). Recovery system should not be
attached to any weak plastic tab on the nosecone. If you have any questions, please see
16)
DO NOT try to
remove any rocket that has landed on high voltage lines.
17)
Please keep
any pets on the dirt roads and parking area and clean up after them. This is a
working farm and we must protect the farmers' interests.
18)
We want our
launches to be conducive to families and relaxation. As such, there should be no fighting, racial
slurs, and ethnic epithets etc. Any of
the above are cause for immediate revocation of membership and be cause for
removal from launch site. No dues or
fees paid will be refunded.

Finding Your Rockets
Use of a "beeper" is highly recommended! Some
members have rocket retrieval items. As
with anything you may borrow, if you break, damage or lose it, you will be
expected to replace it.
Thanks for
coming. We hope you have a great
time.
